Energy in Slovakia

Hello everyone, today I'm going to talk to you about energy in Slovakia. In this photo we can see the city of Bratislava in Slovakia. This photo was taken from a plane come from France. We can see a lot of light. So we wondered how this electricity was produced. More than half (56.9%) of the electricity in Slovakia comes from nuclear power stations, 16.8% is produced by hydroelectric power stations, 12.8% is thermal and 13.6% comes from other sources (gas / photovoltaic / solar / wind). Slovakia, Belgium and France have the distinction of being the only three countries in the world to produce most of their electricity by nuclear fission.
However, Slovakia is improving the production of renewable energy. Indeed, I was shocked by the number of wind turbines around Bratislava. With this photo taken from Bratislava Castle, we can realize that it is impressive. Indeed, we see a forest of wind turbines in the distance. When we take the highway we see hundreds of wind turbines. I find this very encouraging in the fight against global warming

Florian.
