In Slovakia, the automotive sector drives
the country’s development. Indeed, we saw in economy class that the three main
manufacturers which are Kia motors, PSA group and Volkswagen represent 12% of
the Slovak Gross Domestic Product, for a production of more than 1 million
vehicles per year. The country's ranks as the world's leading producer of cars
in relation to the number of inhabitants. Since 1991 Volkswagen settled in
Slovakia and more precisely in Bratislava. We were supposed to visit the
factory but one more time because of the situation we didn’t had the time…
Since April 20, they are allowed to produce
cars again but the crisis linked to the covid lead to considerable impact, many
people lost their jobs. It’s very difficult to deal with this crisis because as
we said previously the automotive sector drives the country’s development.
